Early Life and Musical Beginning

Born on 22 March 1975, Tasha grew up in Nairobi in Kenya.

Musical Career

At age 19, Sanaipei joined the Coca-Cola Pop Stars (East African) Talent Search. She paused her Pharmacy studies at Kenya Medical Training School. She won the competition alongside two other Kenyan Contestants, , Kevin Waiharu and Pam Waithaka who later formed a trio “Sema” and won a record deal under the label Homeboyz records. Multiple songs were released by the group after joining the record label including “Leta Wimbo“, “Sakalakata“, and “Mwewe“. Sadly, the group tore to pieces due to unbearable frictions that were kindled in the group and the interference of external forces. Dissolution was the necessary evil.
