Mercy Amoah, popularly known as Ohemaa Mercy is one of Ghana’s audacious female music sensations delivering to the world healthy, spiritual and motivational tag lines through her songs in the genre of gospel with captivating and thought-provoking lyricism to draw her audience closer to the maker of the universe.
Early Life and Education
Mercy Amoah was born in Weija, Accra to Mr. and Mrs. Amoah, who are both Fantis, from Abakrapa and Elmina respectively. Koforidua was where she lived growing as a youth in the exuberant stage of her life. Ohema Mercy undertook her Primary education at St. Peters Anglican Primary School in Koforidua and continued to Ghana Senior High School, also in Koforidua. She then proceeded to the SDA Teacher’s Training College in Koforidua, where she obtained her Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’.
Career
Ohemaa Mercy, as she is affectionately called has signed to Royalty Music Company Ltd. Ohemaa Mercy commenced her career in 2004 and has since been lively and impactful in the Ghanaian Music Industry. Like all other artists she has proven her worth and showcased her versatility and originality by displaying her dynamism and collaborating with other artists in the gospel music scene to bring out the very best song on the market.
