Ghanaian Gospel Vocalist: Ceccy Twum

Indeed, gender hasn’t been a barrier as respects music. Currently there has been an upsurge in women in music, particularly gospel music where women are the headliners in the dissipation of heartwarming and tuneful melodies with inspirational tag lines who center their music on the creator of the universe. Ceccy Twum has proved to be one of the most inspirational Ghanaian female gospel vocalists leaving an indelible mark in the Ghanaian gospel scene.

Ceccy Abena Apratwum, better known by her stage name, Ceccy Twum, is a Ghanaian contemporary gospel singer and songwriter.

Early Life and Education

Born into the Twum family on 13th November, Ceccy Twum commenced her educational journey at Don Bosco Catholic primary and Junior High situated at Winneba. She later proceeded to Snapps College for her senior high education at Accra.

Career

Like all other artists, Ceccy Twum has proven her versatility and originality through her collaboration with other renowned musical icons. Among these are MOG, Joyce Blessing, Ohemaa Mercy, Joe Mettle, Sinach, Frank Edwards, Empress Gifty, Nathaniel Bassey and many others.

She has received numerous accolades and recommendations through her soul-lifting deliveries which tend to move her across the country’s borders. In the frame of a vocal icon, she is seen as a starlet to be looked up to.

Personal life

Ceccy is married to Prophet Alex Twum with three lovely children.

Ceccy is one of Ghana’s outstanding female vocalists seeking to spread the gospel in her song ministration. She has earned herself many admirers all over the world.
