Through music, it is obvious that her lyricism shows her undiluted thoughts about the world and all other social inclusions without understating any notoriety in society but pours them out as pin-pointed as it could be, though raw, seeks to lead her generation and the world around her with her art piece.

Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, known professionally as Ayra Starr, Sabi girl or even Celestial Being, is a Beninise- born Nigerian Singer showcasing her music style in the genres of Afrobeats, R&B and Alte. To her, Ayra Starr, means woke and eye opening and she stands for that.

Early Life

Ayra Starr, was born on 14, June, 2002 in Cotonou, in Benin and Lagos, Nigeria. She is of the Yoruba ethnicity. She doesn’t have close friends as a result of the relocation of their residence as a result of the instability of her dad’s work.

She was raised by her parents in a music loving home and even performed at a highschool choir at the age of ten.

She attended Les Cours Sonou University and received a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and Political Science.

She was often bullied at school because of her size and age but counteracted the bully with greatness, her passion for music. Her mum did her very best as a mum by being supportive and encouraging.

Initially, she began as a model under the management of Quove Model at the age of 16 before taking a step into music.

She started her journey as a cover artist. She did covers of many songs and posted them on her Instagram page. Her first try was in 2019. This brought her to the recognition of the record label Mavin Records by the Executive, Don Jazzy.

Career

In 2018, she was a model for companies like Quove models, Complete Fashion Magazine, Esperanza Woman, and Mazelle Studio.

In 2020, with Marvin records, she released her self titled debut extended play on 22, January, 2021.
