Sensational vibrant female vocalist, Wendy Asiamah Addo, well noted by her stage name Wendy Shay, is one of the many female artists who are zealous in leaving an unerasable mark or footprint in the music industry in the genres of music for Afrobeat and Afropop, thereby putting the country at the forefront of the continent’s music, thus relating harmoniously with her proponents and earning her greater fan base through her lyricism and thought-provoking punchlines.

She attended both Morning Star School and St. Martin de Porres in Accra. She then moved to Germany in Stuttgart to continue her education and pursued her skills in Oberhausen, Germany. She is a registered nurse who practiced as a licensed midwife.

She was introduced to music by Rufftown Records Manager Bullet, after the untimely death of her colleague, Ebony Reigns, and was signed in 2018.

One sad thing that hit Wendy Shay is the unexpected loss of her position as the ambassador of the Youth Employment Agency of Ghana Brand Ambassador. She was later given back the position but the grounds on which the position was taken from her and later given back to he remains undisclosed to the public.

She has been involved in several pageants such as Miss Ghana in 2018, RTP Awards Africa 2018, and the BF Suma Connect 18.

Wendy Shay is among the top thirty most influential women in the history of music as congratulated by the 3Music Women’s Branch in March, in 2023. She performed at Ghana’s Afro nation Music Festival and other music festivals.
